After a period of its restaurant operation having been closed, Ciccone's Cafe a full service family restaurant and bar at 425 Cherry St. in Kent, is back and its welcome mat is out for its long-time, faithful customers plus new ones too.

Ciccone's Cafe was the first Ohio Lottery Retailer in Kent and is still running strong in the lottery games.  It has a full service terminal and a keno kiosk to meet everyone's lottery needs. Ciccone's is open to serve at 8:00 am until close of business .

Bob Ciccone has hired Mike McGuire as manager and cook of the restaurant and Wanda Lee, who works as a bartender is assisting him. Bob's daughters Robin and Roberta are also working at the bar as bartenders and serving dinner on Friday nights.  His grandson, Aaron Hill, also works back in the kitchen.

McGuire is serving up fish, chicken and steak dinners ranging from $7 to $16, Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 4:30 in the afternoon until 8:30. The bar's liquor license enables it to serve a portfolio of beverages and it is open six days a week from 8:00 in the morning until closing time.

McGuire said his perch, haddock chicken and steaks are of the finest quality. He boasts that Ciccone's has one of the best hamburgers in town.

"Come on in and try one of our pressured fried chicken, fish, or steak dinners.  You won't be disappointed, McGuire said.  "Everything we put out is homemade.  No premade food for us.  Quality is number one".

McGuire has been living in Pennsylvania and only returned recently to his hometown of Kent. Bringing the restaurant and bar back to life would be a dream come true.

"I  used to  come here with my father when I was young" ,he said , "and I remembered its friendly, family atmosphere. I want that to continue so everyone can experience a little bit of home while they are out."

Ciccone's has ample parking for customers. If a nice quiet time is what you are looking for, then it's available too.

Whether its their big screen TV's or a homemade style dinner or just some drinks and keno, Ciccone's  Cafe has it all for you.  Ciccone's wishes all the best to all customers old and new.

"We appreciate your business and thank you one and all. "
